Notes

  • This time, I combined the oils with the lye with both around 45 degrees Celsius. This helped avoid the false trace from the butters condensing on contact with the cold lye like last time. It still thickened a bit faster than I expected, but was much more smooth this time.
  • I tried covering the mould with a cutting board and wrapping it with a towel this time, to hopefully let it gel for a little longer.
